Speed Alert LA

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 25, 2026

Speed Alert LA is an iPhone app published by FDE Systems. This policy describes what the app does with information. The short version: your location is used on your iPhone to find camera zones ahead, and it is never sent to us.

What we collect

Nothing. Speed Alert LA has no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking software. We do not receive your name, email, location, device identifiers or usage, and we have no server that stores user data.

Location

With your permission, the app uses your iPhone’s location, direction and speed to show where you are on the map and, during a drive you start with Start Drive, to find camera zones ahead of you. This continues in the background, with the system location indicator visible, until you tap End Drive. All matching against camera locations happens on your iPhone. Your location and trips are not recorded, uploaded, shared or sold.

Apple Maps

Maps, place search, directions and street imagery in the app are provided by Apple Maps. When you view the map or search for a place, those requests are handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy. Get Directions opens the Apple Maps app.

What is stored on your iPhone

All of it is removed when you delete the app.

Purchases

Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple. Payment is handled inside your Apple Account; we never see your card, billing address or any other payment detail. The app only asks Apple whether a subscription is active.

Children

Speed Alert LA is not directed to children and collects no information from anyone, including children.

This website

speedalertla.com is hosted on Cloudflare and uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookies, does not use your IP address to identify you and does not track you across sites. The camera map loads map tiles from OpenFreeMap and fonts from Google Fonts, which receive your IP address to deliver them. The Near me button asks your browser for your location only when you tap it, and uses it on the page to find nearby cameras; it is not sent to us.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
